The belt conveyor is also used in building materials, electric power, light industry, food, ports, ships and other departments.
The belt conveyor has become one of the important equipments in the entire production chain. Before the operation of the belt conveyor, the first is to confirm that the belt conveyor equipment, personnel and the items to be transported are in the safe and intact state. The followed is to check all moving parts and all electrical wirings to make sure that they are normal. Finally, the operator should check the difference between the supply voltage and the rated voltage to ensure that it does not exceed ± 5%.
In the project of installing belt conveyor, the installation of the rack starts from the headstock, then the middle frame in order, and finally is the tail frame. Before installing the rack, first pull a centre line on the whole length of the conveyor and maintaining the center line of the conveyor on a straight line is an important condition for the normal operation of belt conveyor, for this reason, when installing the middle frame, aim at the center line, and the permissible error of the center line is ±0.1mm. After all the single links are installed, connect them.
(1) Roller installation
After the rack, transmission device and tension device are installed, install the roller frame for upper and lower rollers to make the conveyor have a curve with slow direction changes. The space distance of the roller frame at the curving part is 1/2~1/3 of the space of normal roller frame. After the rollers are installed, make it have flexible and easy rotation.
(2) Transmission device installation
When installing transmission device, make the transmission shaft of the belt conveyor is vertical with its center line and the center of the width of the driving roller coincides the center line and the axis of the reducer is parallel with the transmission axis. At the same time, all the shafts and roll cylinder should be leveled. The horizontal error of the shaft is allowable in the range of 0.5-1.5mm according to the width of the conveyor. While installing the transmission device, the tension device such as tail pulley can be installed. The roller axis of the tension device should be vertical with the center line of the belt conveyor.
The supporting structure frame should be on a straight line and maintained horizontal. For this reason, after the driving roll and supporting roll are installed, align the center line and horizontal of the conveyor. Fix the machine frame on the foundation or floor. After the belt conveyor is fixed, install the feeding and discharging device.
