Structure of Magnetic Separator

The wet magnetic separator is mainly composed of drum, roller, brush roller, magnetic system, tub and transmission parts. Cylinder is rolled welding by 2-3 mm stainless steel plate, and the end cover is aluminum casting connected by stainless steel screw and barrel. Motor regulates motor speed through the reducer, which drives the cylinder and magnetic roll do rotary motion. Magnetic system is open, installed in inside cylinder and all bared magnetic. Magnetic block of magnetic drum separator is installed in the plate of yoke by stainless steel bolt, and the shaft of the yoke is out of the barrel. The end shaft is fixed with turn arm, which can adjust the magnetic system angle. The working area of trough is made up with stainless steel, and the frame and other parts of the cell body is welded with ordinary steel.

Performance Features of Wet Magnetic Separator

1. The coarse separation of the lean iron ore after coarse crushing or medium crushing eliminates the barren rocks such as surrounding rock, improves the taste of the iron ore and eases the load of the next procedure.

2. Magnetic separator and magnetic drum separator can be used in the closed circuit firing work for restoring the hematite, and it can separate the rawore that are not fully restored and return it for firing again.

Working Principle of Magnetic Drum Separator

The pulp flows into cell body from the pulp box, and under the water flow of the feeding spray pipe, the mineral grain will go into the feeding area of the cell body in the loose condition. In the magnetic field, the magnetic ore particles will have magnetic gathering and form magnet group or magnet chain which is influenced by the magnetic force inside the pulp and moves to the magnetic pole and finally is absorbed onto the cylinder.
